Lodsworth Larder is a community run, eco friendly, village shop, situated in the heart of the Southdowns National Park.
Mothers Day is Sunday 26th March. The Larder has a wide variety of gifts, cards and plants; why not make breakfast in bed, and treat your mum to a delicious Hungry Guest Croissant, with local Petworth Honey – the perfect start to the day.
The start of March has seen some changeable weather, warm spring sunshine one minute, cold sleety rain the next. At Lodsworth Larder we try and cater for all seasons, and are still selling are ever popular range of warming Gingers Kitchen soups and meals, and have just starting receiving the first of the spring crops from Trefoil Farm. Trefoil Farm is situated righ here in the village, so the food travels less than a mile from field to shop – you don’t get more local than that. Trefoil produce is grown without the use of pesticides and on a small scale, at the moment we have a small quanity of broccoli, spicy winter salads and some new and unusual brassicas. Trefoil deliver to us three times per week, and their produce is usually all sold by the end of the day. If you would like to know what we have in stock on a particular day, just give us a call.
Lodsworth Larder sells a wide variety of fresh produce and groceries. We have daily deliveries of fruit, seasonal vegetables and bakery produce. We sell meat and poultry from The Hungry Guest butchers in Petworth, and have a large selection of delicatessen produce, and local artisan cheeses. The Larder offers a postal service, including domestic and airmail post, as well as signed for delivery. We also carry all of Ben Law’s publications and a selection of other books and gifts.
For your everyday shopping, we can provide all your basic groceries, including household items, pet food and a selection of over the counter medicine. So whether you need a special gift or treat, or have run out of cat food on a Bank Holiday, Lodsworth Larder is here to help.
