Community & Shareholders
Our Community
The Larder is run by a volunteer management committee, who bring with them a wealth of experience in finance, HR, marketing and advertising. The shop is run on a day-to-day basis by the shop manager and a team of duty managers.
The key to Lodsworth Larder’s success is the continual support of our volunteers. We have a dedicated team of volunteers ranging from teenagers working towards their Duke of Edinburgh award, to those in their seventies. Most people have a regular shift, but we also have a pool of people who are happy to help out as and when needed. They are involved in running the shop, from manning the till to stocking the shelves and are always brimming with creative ideas and new goods to stock.
If you are interested in finding out more about volunteering, please contact manager@lodsworthlarder.com
Shareholders
Lodsworth Larder is a community benefit society, created by the community for the community, and initially funded by grants and shareholder donations. We are registered under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014, with not-for-profit status, our purpose being to serve the community.
We are always looking for more shareholders to join our society in order for it to widely represent the village and our customers. New and subsequent donations help pay for fixtures and fittings and ensure the future sustainability of the Larder.
If you would like to become a shareholder* or make a donation, please contact the Honorary Secretary for an application form via manager@lodsworthlarder.com.
* The Lodsworth Larder shares cannot distribute dividends and have no saleable value
We all appreciate the huge benefits of having a village shop as part of the community
Donations from shareholders, Lodsworth Outlook Magazine and the Lodsworth Fete have helped buy equipment such as fridges and freezers, laptop and new bean to cup coffee machine
